IvyRose Implants
The IvyRose team is comprised of dental specialists who are actively involved in the leading dental organizations. Our background in implant dentistry is vast and we combine that experience with modern dental technology. There are many benefits to getting dental implants, including:
- Preserve healthy teeth. An implant can replace a missing tooth without altering the healthy adjacent teeth. Other options, such as bridges, will require significant reduction of healthy adjacent teeth. Implants will eliminate the need to alter the adjacent teeth.
- Prevent bone loss. When a person is missing a tooth, the bone deteriorates due to not being in function. Dental implants mimic your natural tooth and root and therefore, bone loss is reduced drastically.
- No decay. Unlike most procedures in dentistry, implants cannot fail due to decay. Implants are made of titanium and other metals that are biocompatible.
Once implants are placed, they function like your natural teeth. Modern techniques used to integrate dental implants into bone are highly effective. They become a part of your bone due to osseous integration. This effect in combination with proper maintenance can help implants last a lifetime. Once you arrive at either of our offices, the IvyRose Dental team will help you to determine if dental implants are a good option for your dental situation.
Implant Dentures
A dental implant “over-denture” connects to cylinder shaped implants that have been surgically implanted into the jawbone. The dental implant denture appears like a traditional prosthesis. However, the part of the denture overlying the dental implants is modified to retain various semi-rigid attachments that receive dental implant extensions projecting above the gum. This arrangement helps keep a denture securely in place while eating, speaking, and during other oral activities, but still allows easy self-removal of the denture for cleaning purposes.
